
Apple strudel made with puff pastry
Description
Puff pastry bakes very quickly, so making this pastry won't take you much time. The traditional Viennese strudel made with puff pastry turns out delicious, with a nice golden crust and the aroma of cinnamon. Serve the strudel with a scoop of ice cream. It can be served with tea or coffee.

Pour the flour onto the table, place the dough on it, roll it out thinly, and transfer it onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Put the dough on the baking sheet into the refrigerator.

Meanwhile, wash the apples and peel them, then cut in half and remove the cores, slice the apples thinly.

Heat a skillet with one tablespoon of butter, add the apples, then 80 grams of granulated sugar and cinnamon. Cook the apples for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Transfer the filling to a plate and let it cool.

Remove the dough from the refrigerator and place the filling along the center, leaving a 2-3 cm border from the edges. Then fold both edges over the filling and seal them together. Turn the dough seam-side down.

Melt the remaining butter and brush it over the baked goods, sprinkle with sugar, and pierce the dough in the center to allow steam to escape.

Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 40 minutes, then remove from the oven and let stand for 10–15 minutes.
