Description
The pastry is simple and quick to prepare. Light and delicious baked treat. Knead the dough from flour, egg, butter, water, and a pinch of salt, then let it rest at room temperature for 1.5 hours. For the filling, bring currants, sugar, juice, and starch to a boil, then cool. Roll the dough into a thin sheet, sprinkle with a mixture of nuts and starch, and place the berries on top. Roll it up into a strudel, folding in the edges and brushing each layer with butter. Brush the strudel with a mixture of egg yolk and cream, place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet, and bake in the oven for 35 minutes. Once done, dust the pastry with powdered sugar. The pastry is ready. Serve and enjoy.
