Apple strudel made with lavash
Description
This simple strudel recipe with apples made from lavash is simply amazing! It turns out quick and delicious. I especially like making strudel with slightly salty lavash—it creates a very interesting combination with the sweet syrup and juicy apples. By the way, it's also very tasty if you use honey and Nutella instead of sugar and butter: the flavor is completely different, but equally delightful. Serve with tea or coffee.

Step 1

1. Cut the apples into pieces. Melt butter with sugar and lemon zest in a saucepan until a syrup forms. Pour part of the syrup into a small bowl and set aside. Once the remaining syrup comes to a boil, add the apples. Simmer until the apples become tender.

2. Lay out the lavash and brush it with the remaining oil. To prevent it from breaking, I hold the lavash over steam beforehand.

3. Now place the apple filling onto the lavash and roll it up into a log.

Step 4

4. Brush the roll with the remaining sweet syrup and bake until the top turns golden brown.
