Strudel with peaches
Description
The recipe won’t take much time. Traditionally, strudel is made from stretched dough. It is rolled out very thinly and then carefully stretched with both hands until it becomes transparent. We’ll make strudel the easier way: buy puff pastry and simply try to roll it out as thinly as possible. For the filling, we’ll use peaches, but it can be any fruits or berries to your taste. Everything is simple, quick, easy, and very delicious! Be sure to try it. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions

Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients. It’s not necessary to calculate the dough weight exactly; I simply take a 250-gram sheet from the package and divide it into two halves.
- 2
Step 2

Wash the peaches, cut them in half, remove the pit, and cut them into cubes or slices.
- 3
Step 3

In a frying pan, melt the butter, add the sugar, and cook, stirring, for 5–7 minutes; then add the peaches to the caramel and, continuing to stir, cook for another 2–3 minutes. Let the finished filling cool completely.

Step 4

Roll out the dough thinly into a rectangle. Place the filling closer to one edge. Fold in the edges and roll the dough into a log. The seam should end up on top; pinch it closed thoroughly.

Step 5

Carefully transfer the roll to a baking tray and brush it with egg yolk. Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes. Let the finished pastry cool, then slice and serve.

Step 6

Remove from the oven and serve warm or cooled.
