Stewed Spinach
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Spinach is a source of vitamin C—a very healthy and nutritious food overall that you can use in salads and green smoothies. I recommend all fans of this green to check it out. Serve the appetizer at the table.
Instructions

Step 1
Thoroughly rinse the spinach and pat the leaves dry with paper towels. If the leaves are small, you can leave them whole. I usually tear large leaves by hand. If the spinach is frozen (in blocks, for example), do not thaw it.

Step 2
Slice the garlic into thin slices; I don't recommend chopping it finely. Heat vegetable oil in a pan. A wok is best for this, of course. A regular deep skillet will work too. Once the oil is good and hot, add the garlic.

Step 3
Then, after literally a couple of seconds, add the spinach to the garlic. Mix everything together and cook over high heat, stirring, for about 30 seconds. Then reduce the heat slightly and simmer for 3–4 minutes. If the spinach is frozen, the cooking time will triple: you will need to simmer for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 4
Don't forget to salt and pepper the spinach. Finished braised spinach is best served with rice — it's very tasty!
