Chocolate Cake
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. This cake is made with cocoa and aromatic coffee-infused sponge layers, combined with a butter and dulce de leche cream. The top is covered with chocolate glaze, and then decorated as desired. Since my cake was intended for a children's party, I'll be using chocolate candies and other sweets that kids love for decoration. It will be delicious! The baking is ready. Serve it at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. Prepare all the ingredients for the sponge cake.
- 2
Step 2

2. Dissolve the coffee in 2 tablespoons of boiling water.
- 3
Step 3

3. Combine the flour, cocoa, and baking powder. Mix well.
- 4
Step 4

4. Separately, beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla for about 10 minutes until a light, foamy white mixture forms. Then add 2 tablespoons of boiling water, vegetable oil, and beat everything together once again.
- 5
Step 5

5. Add the dry mixture in parts.
- 6
Step 6

6. Each time, gently stir the dough with a spoon using downward motions.
- 7
Step 7

7. Add coffee.
- 8
Step 8

8. Gently mix everything once more and pour the batter into a greased baking pan. Sprinkle the bottom and sides with semolina or flour. I baked the sponge cake in a multicooker using the "Baking" mode for 1 hour. In an oven, bake the sponge cake at 180°C for about 40 minutes. Check for doneness with a dry skewer.
- 9
Step 9

9. Carefully remove the finished sponge cake and let it cool completely. If time permits, wrap the sponge cake in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. During this time, the sponge cake will rest and become even more tender and delicious.
- 10
Step 10

10. Cut the sponge cake into three equal parts of the same thickness.
- 11
Step 11

11. For the cream, prepare the condensed milk and soften the butter at room temperature in advance.
- 12
Step 12

12. Beat the butter with a mixer, then, while continuing to beat, gradually add the condensed milk in parts. Do not beat for too long to avoid overworking the butter, otherwise it may curdle, which we definitely don't want. Work carefully and quickly.
- 13
Step 13

13. Now we assemble the cake. A few words about the sponge cake. The sponge cake itself is quite porous and moist, so it doesn't particularly need additional soaking. However, if you like moist sponge cake, I recommend soaking the layers with sweet tea or apple juice. You can also use a ready-made soaking syrup, which is now available in almost any grocery store. Soak the first layer and generously spread it with cream. Carefully place the second layer on top. Soak it as well and spread with cream.
- 14
Step 14

14. Assemble the entire cake in this manner.
- 15
Step 15

15. Spread the remaining buttercream over the entire surface of the cake and pour the chocolate glaze over the top. I used a ready-made glaze from a package, but you can easily make it yourself using any favorite recipe.
- 16
Step 16

16. Decorate the cake as your imagination suggests. I used candies and other sweets. The cake can be served immediately, but it's better to let it soak for a few hours, or even overnight.
- 17
Step 17

17. The chocolate cake is ready. Tender, delicious, and fragrant! It literally melts in your mouth!
