Chocolate tart
Description
The bake comes together simply and quickly. For a long time I was quite sceptical about all kinds of foreign dishes and their names, thinking them overly gourmet, unnecessarily complicated, and unsuitable for our Slavic stomachs. Later I got over that hang-up, started cooking various Western dishes—and I’m very glad I did. Chocolate tart is one of my favourite non-Russian dishes. Tarts like this are very popular in cafés across Europe. As you can see from the recipe (and from the ingredients), chocolate tart is very easy to make, so I recommend grabbing this recipe and treating yourself to delicious homemade baking. Good luck with your cooking, friends! :) You can serve it with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Rub butter into the flour until you have large lumps (you don’t need to work it to a crumb texture).
- 2
Step 2

Add one beaten egg yolk to the mixture and quickly knead the dough.
- 3
Step 3

Now we do it like this. Take a baking pan and lightly grease it with butter. Pinch off small balls from the dough and press them to cover the entire bottom of the baking pan. Also shape the sides—about 3 cm high. Put the baking pan with the dough in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.

Step 4

Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Put cream, chocolate broken into pieces, and a little butter into a small saucepan. Place over low heat and melt.
- 5
Step 5

In another small bowl, lightly beat two eggs with a fork.
- 6
Step 6

Pour the beaten eggs into the cream mixture. Warm gently, stirring constantly so the eggs don’t curdle.
- 7
Step 7

Take the slightly firmed dough out of the refrigerator and place it in the oven for 10 minutes at 200°C. Then take it out and pour the prepared filling over it.
- 8
Step 8

Bake the tart with the filling for another 10 minutes at 200°C. Then take it out, cool completely (about 30 minutes), slice, and serve with good coffee. Enjoy!
