Chocolate cake with vanilla

Description

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Prepare a square baking pan. Whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Make a well in the center of the dry mixture and gradually add vegetable oil, vanilla extract, white vinegar, and cold water. Beat the mixture until smooth. Bake the cake for 35 to 40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely in the pan, then remove from the pan, cut into pieces, and serve immediately.
