
Chocolate cake with cottage cheese and cherries

Place the butter, sifted flour with baking powder, and cocoa into the food processor bowl. Add the powdered sugar and process the mixture into crumbs.

Add the egg yolk to the mixture, then add sour cream and mix well. Form a sausage shape from the thick, moist dough and divide it into two parts: one larger and one slightly smaller. Place the dough in the refrigerator for half an hour.

Beat the cottage cheese with granulated sugar and egg yolk. Add starch and vanilla sugar. Beat the mixture. Roll out the majority of the dough and place it into a parchment-lined pan. Form the edges, then spread the cottage cheese filling over the dough. Top with pitted cherries.

Grate the remaining piece of dough on a fine grater. If it's difficult to grate, freeze it for 15 minutes. Sprinkle the crumbs over the pie.
