Chocolate Easter Bread
Description
The baking is simple and quick. Even traditional Easter breads can be slightly modified. Add cocoa and you'll get a beautiful and delicious chocolate Easter bread. For the filling, I used nuts and candied fruits, but you can add any dried or preserved fruits for a more vivid flavor and variety. This Easter baking is easy to make and everyone loves it. A great option for another tasty Easter bread.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients from the list. Take the butter out in advance and let it sit at room temperature until softened.
- 2
Step 2

In a deep bowl, combine warm milk and eggs. I have two small eggs; if you have large eggs, use one whole egg and half of another (to do this, beat the second egg separately and measure out the required amount).
- 3
Step 3

Add soft butter, sugar, sour cream, vanilla, and yeast.
- 4
Step 4

Mix and add 1/3 of the flour, salt, and cocoa.
- 5
Step 5

Mix everything again. Add candied fruits and chopped nuts or dried fruits.
- 6
Step 6

Mix everything once again and gradually add the remaining flour in portions.
- 7
Step 7

The finished dough should be slightly sticky, but it will come away from the sides.
- 8
Step 8

Grease your hands with vegetable oil and shape the dough into a ball. Cover the bowl with a towel and place it in a warm spot for 2.5 to 3 hours.
- 9
Step 9

The dough should rise in size.
- 10
Step 10

Grease your hands and the molds with vegetable oil. Knead the dough, divide it into portions, and place into the molds up to half full. Let it rest for another hour so the dough can rise in the molds.
- 11
Step 11

Bake at 180 degrees for about 25-30 minutes.
- 12
Step 12

Remove the finished chocolate Easter cakes and cool them on a rack.
- 13
Step 13

Glaze the cooled kuliches and decorate with sprinkles.
- 14
Step 14

And this is what the kulich looks like when sliced.
