Chocolate semolina cake with caramelized apples
Description
Since childhood, I remember that semolina pudding is a low-maintenance, easy-to-make dessert for tea, prepared using basic ingredients. By making a few changes to the basic recipe, you can create an unusual and interesting version of the dessert. You can substitute apples with pears or other fruits. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions

Step 1

1. Pour kefir into a bowl, add semolina, salt (a pinch), vanilla sugar (1 pinch), granulated sugar (set aside 3 tablespoons), cocoa powder, and baking powder.

Step 2

2. I crack 2 chicken eggs into a bowl and mix the dough, then set it aside for 20-30 minutes.

Step 3

3. I wash the apples (I have sweet-sour ones) and cut them in half, then remove the seeds and slice them thinly.

Step 4

4. Place the pan over heat, add butter, sugar, and heat until dissolved. Then add the apples and stir until each piece is coated with caramel. Cook over medium heat for a couple of minutes.

Step 5

5. Line the removable baking pan with parchment paper, then place the caramel apples in it.

Step 6

6. Pour the apples with the previously prepared batter and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 40 minutes.

Step 7

7. I take the semolina cake out of the oven, but don't remove it from the pan immediately. I leave it in the form for a while, then loosen the edges and transfer it onto a serving plate. I serve the cake with tea.
