Chocolate Easter Cake for Easter
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. If you want to replace fresh yeast with dry yeast, use 2 tablespoons of dry yeast. This amount of dough yields 4 large Easter breads. If you prefer completely chocolate dough, add the chocolate before the flour. I add it afterwards, so the dough turns out striped inside: slightly chocolate, slightly white. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions

Step 1

1. Add a spoonful of sugar and yeast to warm milk. Dissolve them in the milk, then add about 2 cups of flour from the total amount. The dough should have the consistency of pancake batter. Let the starter ferment (in a multicooker, 30-40 minutes at 35-40 degrees).

Step 2

2. Beat 4 eggs with a mixer into a fluffy foam. Then add sugar, vanilla, and beat until dissolved.

Step 3

3. Soak the raisins in hot water in advance. Drain the water, dry them, and add to the risen sponge. Add butter melted in the microwave, orange zest, and freshly squeezed orange juice.

Step 4

4. Then add the almond flakes and beaten eggs to the sponge. Mix well.

Step 5

5. Add the remaining flour and knead the dough. If necessary, add more flour. Then pour vegetable or olive oil over the dough and mix again. The dough will be stretchy and sticky.

Step 6

6. Break the chocolate bar into pieces, add a piece of butter, and melt in the microwave. Then add to the dough and mix. Transfer everything to a large pot and let rise for an hour.

Step 7

7. Line the baking pans with parchment paper and fill them halfway with the dough. Place the pans in the oven and set the temperature to 50 degrees to allow the dough to rise again.

Step 8

8. Bake the kuliches at 160-180 degrees for half an hour. Check for doneness with a wooden skewer. Do not remove the parchment paper until the baked kuliches have stood for 5-6 hours.

Step 9

9. Melt the chocolate with a piece of butter and spoon it over the tops of the kuliches. Decorate with almond flakes and nuts.
