1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees with the rack in the center. Grease and flour a loaf pan. In a small saucepan, combine butter, cocoa powder, salt, and water; place over medium heat. Cook, stirring, until the butter melts. Remove from heat and set aside.

2. Add flour, sugar, and baking soda to a large bowl, mix well. Add half of the butter mixture and beat. The mixture will be very thick. Add the remaining butter mixture and beat again.

3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Beat with sour cream and vanilla extract until smooth.

4. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan.

5. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 40 to 45 minutes. Cool the cake in the pan for 15 minutes, then remove it onto a plate. Let it cool completely before applying the glaze.

6. To make the glaze, place chopped chocolate and agave nectar in a bowl. Mix cream and sugar in a small saucepan and place over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves completely. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and whisk until the chocolate melts.

7. If the glaze is too runny, let it sit for a minute to thicken.
