Chocolate Tea Cake
Description
The baking is simple and quick. The cake with "Earl Grey" tea is very aromatic, and the chocolate only enhances its flavor. You can just dust the chocolate cake with powdered sugar, but I wanted to cover it completely with chocolate glaze. Recommended for chocolate lovers.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Prepare all the necessary ingredients for the dough. The butter should be at room temperature.
- 2
Step 2

Crush the tea using a rolling pin or a mortar and pestle.
- 3
Step 3

Brew the tea with boiling water, then let it cool.
- 4
Step 4

Beat the butter and sugar until pale. Then add the eggs one at a time, continuing to beat.
- 5
Step 5

Melt the chocolate over a water bath, let it cool slightly, then slowly pour in the egg-butter cream in a thin stream, stirring constantly.
- 6
Step 6

Add tea and yogurt, mix well. Sift flour, baking powder, and baking soda, then add to the batter in 2-3 portions, gently mixing with a spatula.
- 7
Step 7

Pour the batter into a silicone muffin mold and bake in a preheated oven for 50 minutes.
- 8
Step 8

Let the finished cake cool slightly in the pan, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. While it cools, prepare the glaze. Heat the cream in a heavy-bottomed saucepan, add the chocolate broken into pieces, stir until smooth, then remove from heat.
- 9
Step 9

Pour the cake with chocolate glaze, refrigerate until serving.
- 10
Step 10

Remove from the oven and serve warm or cooled.
