
Chocolate ginger gingerbread
Description

Prepare all the ingredients.

Combine one third of the flour with the sugar.

Pour in hot water and mix everything together.

Pour in the vegetable oil and mix again.

Then add ground dried ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, and cocoa powder. Mix everything together, and at the end add baking powder.

Then add the remaining flour in small portions and mix everything thoroughly.

Roll balls from the finished dough. Place them on baking parchment, spaced slightly apart. Bake the gingerbread for 15–20 minutes in an oven preheated to 180°C.

For the glaze, combine the water with the sugar, but do not stir. To dissolve the sugar completely, gently swirl the saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Add a pinch of citric acid and simmer for another 5 minutes.
