Chocolate candies with hazelnut
Description
The finished candies are moderately sweet, so if you prefer them sweeter, add a bit more powdered sugar. Be sure to try making these chocolate hazelnut candies using this recipe.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

It's very convenient to prepare all the ingredients right away.
- 2
Step 2

Place the hazelnuts in any baking dish and dry them for 10 minutes at 160 degrees. Then, if possible, remove the skin from the cooled nuts.
- 3
Step 3

Place a metal bowl over a saucepan of water so that the bottom of the bowl does not touch the surface of the water, and set the heat to medium—this creates a double boiler. Add all the cocoa butter and cocoa powder to the bowl.
- 4
Step 4

Melt cocoa butter with cocoa powder in a double boiler, stirring constantly with a spatula or whisk until you get a smooth, very aromatic chocolate mixture.
- 5
Step 5

Remove this mixture from the heat and add powdered sugar to the chocolate mixture.
- 6
Step 6

Vigorously whisk the powdered sugar into the chocolate mixture until fully combined.
- 7
Step 7

I used silicone molds to make the candies — it's very convenient. Pour 1 teaspoon of hot chocolate mixture into each candy mold, then place either a whole hazelnut or chopped hazelnuts on top — I made some with whole nuts and some with chopped hazelnuts.
- 8
Step 8

Pour the remaining chocolate mixture over the nuts, filling the molds to the top. Place in the refrigerator to set for about 2 hours — mine were ready in just 1 hour.
- 9
Step 9

The finished candies are easily removed from the molds and look amazingly delicious.
- 10
Step 10

Serve at the table.
