
Chocolate financiers
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Financiers are a classic French pastry, consisting of small almond flour sponge cakes. The finished dessert can be served at the table.

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Lightly grease and flour a mini financier mold. Melt the butter in a small saucepan and set aside until cooled to room temperature. Mix almond flour with cocoa powder, salt, and powdered sugar. Add egg whites and almond extract, and stir. Then gradually add the melted butter and gently mix until a smooth, uniform consistency is achieved.

2. Pour the batter into the prepared mold compartments, filling them three-quarters full. Bake the financiers for 10-15 minutes, until they rise slightly and feel firm to the touch.

3. Remove them from the oven and let cool completely before removing from the pan. Financiers can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
