
Chocolate semifreddo
Description
Don't know what dessert to prepare for a festive table? Then make semifreddo—it's very easy, and its appearance and taste will delight everyone, even those who aren't particularly fond of sweets. Chocolate semifreddo goes wonderfully with a cup of coffee. The recipe is very simple; the rest will be done by your freezer.

Prepare the ingredients.

Beat the sugar with the eggs until fluffy.

Break the chocolate into pieces, then melt it in a "double boiler" or in the microwave in short bursts over several intervals.

Beat the cream until a thick, fluffy mass forms, then add the eggs beaten with sugar.

Place the chocolate mixture.

Beat until smooth, add vanilla extract and nut kernels if desired.

Line the mold with plastic wrap.

Place the chocolate mixture and cover it with plastic wrap, making sure it touches the surface. Put it in the freezer for 8–12 hours, or until completely set.

Decorate the semifreddo as desired: with grated chocolate, nuts, fresh or frozen berries. Cut the dessert into portions and serve—it's delicious!
