Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. You can use kefir with any fat content.
- 2
Step 2

Pour kefir into a deep bowl, crack in a chicken egg, and add sugar and salt. You can add a little vanilla sugar for aroma. Whisk everything with a fork or a whisk.
- 3
Step 3

Melt the butter, but do not bring it to a boil, and fold it into the egg mixture. Add cocoa powder, baking powder, and premium-grade wheat flour. The color of the cookies will directly depend on the color of the cocoa powder.
- 4
Step 4

You should get a firm shortcrust pastry dough. Cover it with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Divide the dough into small equal portions and roll them in your hands to form little balls. The size does not matter much; they will spread slightly on the baking sheet anyway. Place them at equal distances from each other. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake the cookies for 15–20 minutes on the top rack.
- 6
Step 6

Place it on a plate and let it cool for about 15 minutes.
- 7
Step 7

Dust the cooled cookies with powdered sugar and serve them with tea or coffee.
