Chocolate Parfait
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Parfait originates from France. As is well known, this country is famous for its exquisite cuisine. To taste one of its specialties, you only need to put in a little effort in the kitchen, and there you go — you can already feel that the Eiffel Tower is not far away. The ready dessert can be served at the table.

Step 1

We break a couple of eggs into a bowl. If you're preparing the parfait for a large number of people, use the ingredients in corresponding proportions. In any case, you can add more eggs according to your preference. Add sugar to the bowl.

Step 2

Beat the eggs with sugar over a water bath. To do this, place the main saucepan into another one filled with water, making sure the water doesn't splash. Heat over medium heat. Add cinnamon to taste—I use half a teaspoon. You can grate a vanilla pod. Continuously beat the mixture until it becomes fluffy.

Step 3

Then, break the chocolate bar into pieces and add it to the mixture. Add a little rum to taste. Liqueur or brandy can also be used. Stir until the chocolate dissolves, then remove from heat.

Step 4

In a separate container, whip the thick cream. It should be extremely fatty, like sour cream. Alternatively, simply use sour cream, preferably homemade. After thoroughly whipping the cream, transfer it to the bowl with the chocolate mixture. Mix everything again with a mixer.

Step 5

Spread the whipped mixture into molds. These can be a beautiful bowl, glasses, or any special containers. Place the parfait in the freezer. It only needs to set slightly—do not wait for it to become completely solid. The parfait should remain soft. After a couple of hours, it's ready. Serve the dessert with any sophisticated drinks, as well as with other sweets and pastries.
