Chocolate cottage cheese casserole
Description
Delicious baking for the whole family. This cottage cheese casserole recipe is so simple that even little ones can manage it under their parents’ watch. But there is one catch! To get neat striped layers in the finished dish, it is important to make the two batters (plain and chocolate) the same consistency. Make this casserole yourself too — I’m sure your family will love it. Serve chilled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. If you wish, corn starch can be replaced with semolina or flour.
- 2
Step 2

Place the cottage cheese, eggs, salt, and sugar in the blender bowl.
- 3
Step 3

Beat the mixture until smooth. You can also use an immersion blender. If you like, you can add any flavoring to taste.
- 4
Step 4

Divide the cottage cheese mixture into 2 unequal parts. Add cocoa powder and 1 tablespoon of starch to the smaller part, and 2 tablespoons of starch to the larger part.
- 5
Step 5

Mix both mixtures until the dough is smooth and lump-free.
- 6
Step 6

Line a 20 × 20 cm baking pan with parchment paper or grease it with oil. Pour 2–3 tablespoons of white cottage cheese mixture onto the bottom.
- 7
Step 7

Pour 1–2 tablespoons of chocolate batter on top.
- 8
Step 8

So, we alternately fill the entire mold with the batter, alternating white and chocolate. Place the cottage cheese casserole in the oven, which should be preheated to 180 degrees in advance.

Step 9

The doneness of the cottage cheese casserole is judged visually. Gently shake the pan: the center should jiggle slightly, like a cheesecake. I baked it on the middle rack for about 40–45 minutes, but adjust to your own oven. Let the cottage cheese casserole cool in the pan, then remove it and cut into portions.

Ready. Serve at the table.
