Chocolate
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. This delicious oat cake with caramel filling and nuts will delight all sweet tooths. And any homemaker will find it easy to prepare this sweet treat, as the recipe is very simple and the cake bakes quite quickly. True, you'll have to wait a couple of hours before tasting it, since the caramel filling needs to cool down. The cake is quite caloric, but even those watching their figure will hardly refuse a slice of this exquisite dessert. The baking is ready. Serve at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. Put flour, oat flakes, sugar (you can reduce the amount of sugar to 2/3 cup), baking powder, and salt into a bowl.
- 2
Step 2

2. Mix until smooth. Melt the butter.
- 3
Step 3

3. Pour the oil into the oat-flour mixture and mix first with a spoon, then with your hands.
- 4
Step 4

4. And here's what we end up with: not dough, not crumbs :)
- 5
Step 5

5. Line the baking pan (I used a rectangular one, 20 by 30 cm) with parchment paper brushed with butter. Spread 2/3 of the crumbs and press them down into an even layer. Place in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 10-15 minutes.

Step 6

6. Crush the nuts with a rolling pin. It's not necessary to grind them into fine crumbs; it will be more interesting if the nut pieces are of varying sizes.
- 7
Step 7

7. Prepare the chocolate caramel. Pour cream into a saucepan, add sugar, honey, and pieces of chocolate.
- 8
Step 8

8. Stirring, bring to a boil until the sugar and chocolate dissolve. Simmer over low heat for another 2–3 minutes, until thickened.
- 9
Step 9

9. Remove the baking sheet with the pie base and pour over the hot chocolate caramel. Smooth it out.
- 10
Step 10

10. Sprinkle with nuts.
- 11
Step 11

11. Evenly distribute the remaining crumbly dough.
- 12
Step 12

12. Bake for another 30-35 minutes, until the top is golden brown. Then let the pie cool and stand for a couple of hours so the caramel in the filling thickens.

Step 13
