
Schnitzel (classic recipe)
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Wiener Schnitzel is one of the most famous dishes of Austrian cuisine. The classic Wiener Schnitzel is made from veal, breaded with flour, egg, and crushed breadcrumbs. Preparing schnitzel from pork is also acceptable, but then it is listed on the menu as "Wiener Schnitzel from pork." See, the ready dish can be served at the table.

To prepare a classic schnitzel, we need veal meat. Cut it into slices.

Pound the meat on both sides with a mallet.

Salt and pepper the piece on both sides.

In one bowl, beat the eggs with milk. In another, place the flour, and in the third—breadcrumbs.

Dip the schnitzel into the beaten egg, then into the flour, then again into the egg, and finally into the breadcrumbs. Place onto a preheated pan and fry on both sides until cooked through (medium heat, 5–7 minutes per side).
