Sherbet from cookies

Description

The recipe won't take much time. The sherbet is made from cookies, condensed milk, nuts (you can use any kind to your taste), and butter. You can shape it however you like, but the dessert should be served only cold. In the East, this treat is traditionally served with coffee or as an appetizer at a buffet table. Serve chilled.

    1. Crush the shortbread cookies (I buy the cheapest ones) into fine crumbs, using a blender or a rolling pin.

    2. I have a mix of nuts (walnuts, almonds, and hazelnuts); I toast them in a pan for a few minutes, then crush them with a rolling pin, leaving some small pieces. Add the nuts to the cookies.

    3. Melt the butter in the microwave, then cool it to room temperature and mix with condensed milk.

    4. Mix the contents of the bowl, pour over the crumb mixture of cookies and nuts.

    5. I thoroughly mixed the contents of the bowl; the mixture seemed a bit dry to me, so I added a couple more tablespoons of condensed milk.
