Description

The dish is easy to prepare. You can take shawarma with kofta kebabs with you on a picnic by packing all the ingredients separately, grilling the patties on a barbecue, and wrapping them in flatbread right on the spot. It's also convenient to bring it to work or on a trip, wrapping it in foil or parchment paper. The finished dish can be served at the table.

    Prepare the listed ingredients. Buy the minced meat from a butcher shop or prepare it yourself using fatty lamb.

    Add 2 pinches of salt, pepper, khmeli-suneli, and ground paprika to the lamb mince and mix thoroughly. Then beat for 3-4 minutes. Shape the mince into small oval patties and thread them onto wooden skewers, or skip the skewers altogether.

    Peel the potatoes, rinse them in water, and cut into strips. Fry in a pan with vegetable oil for 6-10 minutes, then transfer to a plate. In the same oil, fry the kofta kebabs. Initially, the meat patties will release juice; once the juice has evaporated, they will begin to brown. This will take approximately 10-12 minutes.

    Meanwhile, slice the cabbage and sprinkle it with salt, then rub the slices firmly to release their juice. Unroll a thin, long sheet of lavash, spread mayonnaise along one edge, and place the cabbage slices on it. Rinse the cherry tomatoes and slice them into rounds. Place them on top of the cabbage.

    Add the fried potatoes and kofta kebab. You can additionally serve pickled cucumbers with the dish if you like them in your shawarma.

    Roll the lavash with the filling into a roll and place it on a preheated electric grill or grill pan. Sear on both sides until golden brown.
