Russian-style shawarma

Description

The recipe won't take much time. You won't have to work hard to prepare the Russian version of shawarma—the dish is made from ingredients that are found in almost any fridge. This method of preparation can also be called "lazy." Serve hot.

    Prepare the listed ingredients. Boil the chicken in advance until fully cooked. You can use either broiler chicken or farm-raised chicken.

    Shred the boiled chicken into strips by hand or with a knife. Rinse the tomatoes under water and cut out their green cores. Slice the tomatoes into pieces. Finely chop the cabbage. Optionally, you can add french fries or slices of boiled potato, and a pickle.

    Lay the lavash on a working surface, spread 1 tbsp of mayonnaise and 1 tsp of mustard. Place the cabbage and tomato slices on top.

    Place the boiled chicken on top of the vegetable slices. You can make Russian-style shawarma with boiled or baked meat, mushrooms.

    Fold the edges of the lavash and roll it up into a roll, being careful not to press too hard on the filling so it doesn't burst.

    Preheat an electric grill or use a grill pan to sear the shawarma on both sides for about 3 minutes each.

    Then place it on a plate, cut in half, and serve hot.
