Shashlik in the oven in a jar
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. I learned this simple recipe for baking shashlik in a jar in the oven from my mother. The versatility of this recipe lies in the fact that you can use any meat for the shashlik: pork, veal, turkey, chicken fillet. Only beef doesn't turn out very tasty, although you might succeed in preparing it deliciously in a jar too. You can marinate the meat using your favorite marinade. I'll share my own marinade recipe with you, but feel free to use whatever method you prefer. Good luck :) Serve the finished dish at the table.
Instructions

Step 1

We thoroughly wash the meat under running water, dry it, and cut into not very large pieces (about the size of a walnut). Then transfer the meat to a pot and add all the marinade ingredients: onion sliced into half-rings, mayonnaise or sour cream, pressed garlic, fresh herbs, olive oil, and salt. If you plan to marinate the meat overnight, do not add lemon zest under any circumstances; however, if marinating for just a couple of hours, feel free to add it :)

Step 2

Mix everything well by hand. Let the meat marinate for a couple of hours.

Step 3

Take wooden skewers and thread the meat onto them. Place 3 garlic cloves and a spoonful of liquid smoke at the bottom of a 3-liter jar. Arrange the kebabs inside and cover the jar with foil folded into several layers. IMPORTANT! Put the jar into a cold (!!!) oven, then heat the oven to 200 degrees. After 20 minutes, increase the temperature to 250 degrees. Cook the kebabs for approximately another hour.

Step 4

Transfer the ready-made shashlik to a serving dish and serve.
