Paprika skewers
Description
Paprika is my favorite spice—I probably add it to every dish. Once I decided to experiment and marinate kebabs with paprika. It turned out very tasty and aromatic. I didn't dare to skip vinegar in this recipe, but I think you can omit it if you're using good quality pork neck.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. You can make pork kebab with paprika using other cuts of pork, but the neck is the best choice.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the meat into small pieces. I cut mine not too large, so the meat will cook faster and remain juicy.
- 3
Step 3

Slice the onion into rings. If the onion is small, you can use several of them.
- 4
Step 4

In a large bowl, mix the meat with the onion, then add salt, paprika, and vinegar. The vinegar is optional—this recipe can be made without it. Alternatively, you can substitute apple vinegar for regular vinegar. Mix thoroughly and refrigerate to marinate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
- 5
Step 5

Thread the marinated meat onto skewers, and don't forget to insert onion rings between the pieces of meat. It will be even more delicious this way.
- 6
Step 6

The coals for shashlik are ready, you can start grilling.
- 7
Step 7

Grill the shashlik on the barbecue until done—until it has a nice color on the outside and no blood inside.
- 8
Step 8

The shashlik is ready.
