Beef tongue kebab
Description
Here's a very simple recipe for beef tongue kebab. Whenever my family and I go outdoors, we always buy some beef tongue along with the meat and make a couple of kebabs from it — just to add variety. It's an acquired taste: the kids don't particularly like it, but my husband enjoys it immensely. I like it too. So, here's how I do it.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Rinse the tongue and boil it in slightly salted water.
- 2
Step 2

Peel and cut into medium-sized pieces.

Step 3

Next, transfer the tongue to a dish, add salt, spices, lemon slices, and olive oil.

Step 4

Cover the container and let it marinate for an hour. Meanwhile, peel, wash, and slice the onion, tomatoes, and bell pepper into rings.

Step 5

Next, alternately thread the tongue and vegetables onto skewers. Grill on a barbecue or bake in the oven at 200 degrees until cooked through.
