Chicken shashlik in a jar
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Not many people know yet about the method of baking kebab in the oven. Of course, you won't get the distinct smoky flavor characteristic of kebab grilled outdoors. But you'll be able to treat your loved ones and guests to delicious, juicy, and tender kebab any time, regardless of the weather. Kebab made from chicken and pork turns out best when cooked in a jar. The choice of marinade is up to you. Good luck! Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients for making shashlik in a jar.
- 2
Step 2

Rinse the chicken fillet and cut into 4x4 cm pieces. Place in a bowl.
- 3
Step 3

Add ketchup to the bowl with the chicken.
- 4
Step 4

Place the mayonnaise and pour in the vegetable oil. This can be sunflower or olive oil.
- 5
Step 5

Salt and pepper to taste, sprinkle with dried basil.
- 6
Step 6

Thoroughly mix the chicken fillet, mayonnaise, ketchup, salt, oil, pepper, and basil. Cover the bowl with a lid or plate and let marinate for at least 2 hours.
- 7
Step 7

Then thread the chicken pieces onto skewers.
- 8
Step 8

Take a clean, dry glass jar without chips or cracks. Place the kebabs vertically one by one. I have a 1.5-liter jar. It can hold 3-4 kebabs.
- 9
Step 9

Cover the jar with foil and place it in a cold oven. Then turn on the oven. Bake the shashlik at 175-180 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

Step 10

Remove the ready-made shish kebab from the jar and, if you have a grill in the oven or microwave, lightly brown it.
