Apple cake in the microwave
Description
Every experienced homemaker is familiar with the classic apple cake recipe, but not everyone knows that it can be baked in a microwave. I tried it—and I liked it. It's quick and delicious. Of course, microwave apple cake differs from the one baked in an oven: it lacks a golden crust. But in terms of taste, it's the same. Plus, this simple microwave apple cake recipe will save you time. And the pale appearance of the finished cake can easily be disguised with powdered sugar, jam, or chocolate.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the apples into small slices. Chop a few slices more finely—into small cubes.
- 3
Step 3

Beat the eggs with sugar using a mixer until the sugar dissolves completely. This will take about 5-7 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

The perfect sugar-egg mixture is pale yellow with a froth.
- 5
Step 5

Add flour and baking soda.
- 6
Step 6

Stir in the flour with a spoon in several quick motions. In general, preparing Charlotte batter is not much different from preparing sponge cake batter.
- 7
Step 7

Place the apples at the bottom of the silicone mold. You can also use a glass mold, but never a metal one.
- 8
Step 8

Pour the batter on top, smooth it out, and place it in the microwave. Set the microwave to maximum power; it's best if it has a grill function. Cooking time is about 15 minutes (depending on your microwave's power). Attention: do not wait for a golden crust to form on the surface—when the cake has risen and become springy, it is ready. Remove it from the oven and place it on a damp towel so the cake easily releases from the mold.

This is what my microwave apple cake turned out like.
