Instructions

Step 1

1. To make the charlotte, use pears and apples (firm and crisp) so that the pieces don't turn into mush after baking. You don't need to peel the pears, as they can become too soft after baking, and the skin will help them hold their shape. Peel the apples, as their skin will remain tough regardless. Cut all the ingredients into small pieces so they look appealing.

Step 2

2. Grease the baking sheet with oil and lightly dust it with flour. To prepare the dough, take eggs, flour, baking soda, powdered sugar, and a mixer. All ingredients should be cold.

Step 3

3. Break the eggs into a container and beat them with a mixer for about three minutes.

Step 4

4. At the next stage, gradually add powdered sugar and beat for the same amount of time. Do not beat for too long, to avoid getting a meringue-like cream; the batter should remain slightly runny.

Step 5

5. Gradually add 1.5 cups of flour and continue beating. At this point, you can add a few packets of vanilla flavoring and 1/3 teaspoon of baking soda. The dough will have a medium consistency.

Step 6

6. Add pears and apples to it, mix everything well. Pour the batter onto a baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes at 180 degrees. Then remove, cut into pieces, and serve with tea—it will be very delicious!
