Orange Charlotte
Description
Homemade treats for tea. Once I felt like baking something sweet, but there was no flour at home. I only had a couple of eggs and a little milk left. I found an interesting recipe where breadcrumbs replaced flour, so I decided to sacrifice a loaf of bread for the sake of making a charlotte. Preparing orange charlotte didn't take much of my time, and the dish turned out wonderfully.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients in advance.
- 2
Step 2

Try to peel the oranges in a spiral: you can then make little roses from them for decoration.
- 3
Step 3

Slice the oranges into rounds, and grind 3/4 of the total amount of breadcrumbs in a blender.
- 4
Step 4

Grease the baking dish with butter, then place a 1.5 cm layer of breadcrumbs. Top with oranges, pieces of butter, and sprinkle with sugar. Repeat the process: there should be three layers of breadcrumbs and two layers of oranges.
- 5
Step 5

Place the remaining uncrushed breadcrumbs on top. Now beat the eggs with sugar (2 tbsp), add milk, and slowly pour over the charlotte so that all layers are soaked.
- 6
Step 6

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes. Brush the ready orange charlotte with condensed milk and decorate with tangerines and orange rosettes.
