
Baked Mushrooms with Cheese

1. Melt a spoonful of butter in a frying pan.

2. Add the onion, sliced into half-moons, and sauté over medium heat, stirring, for 5 minutes.

3. Pour in the broth and wine and simmer for another 20 minutes until all the liquid has evaporated. Add the Worcestershire sauce, stir, and after a minute you can remove from the heat.

4. Meanwhile, wash and pat dry the mushrooms, carefully removing the stems.

5. In a separate skillet, melt another spoonful of butter and add the mushroom caps. Season lightly with salt and simmer for just a couple of minutes.

6. Place the caps in an ovenproof dish and fill with onion.

7. Grate the cheese on a medium grater.

8. Sprinkle the mushrooms with cheese and bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for 15–20 minutes.
