Mushrooms over the campfire
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Mushrooms cooked over a campfire are ready very quickly, and button mushrooms are especially easy to prepare! However, keep in mind that it's better not to cook mushrooms directly over the fire without preparation—they can easily burn. Therefore, I recommend marinating the mushrooms before cooking them over a fire: you can use mayonnaise or sour cream. Mushrooms turn out juicier when marinated in sour cream. Serve hot.
Instructions

Step 1

Wash the mushrooms thoroughly; you don't need to peel them. First, sprinkle them with spices, add salt and pepper. Then add sour cream, mix well, and let marinate in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours.

Step 2

You can marinate the mushrooms in sour cream for a shorter time, at least 15 minutes, but practice shows it's better to marinate them thoroughly. Before cooking over an open fire or barbecue, you can remove excess sour cream with a paper towel to prevent it from dripping into the fire.

Step 3

Grill on a barbecue or over an open fire like shish kebab for about 15–20 minutes. Use visual cues: mushrooms should be constantly turned to prevent burning.

Step 4

If you notice such a burnt crust, the mushrooms are definitely ready.

Step 5

You can serve the finished mushrooms cooked over the campfire with mustard sauce or ketchup, as well as with vegetables.
