Oven-Baked Stuffed Mushrooms
Description
This recipe won't take much time. Stuffed mushrooms are a very interesting and unusual appetizer. With this simple recipe you'll get everything done quickly, and you can involve the kids in filling the caps—they really enjoy it :) My advice: if you're planning to make stuffed mushrooms, make a double batch right away. This appetizer has never stayed on the plates for more than half an hour. Serve the appetizer at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Choose mushrooms of roughly the same size for this dish.
- 2
Step 2

Carefully separate the legs.
- 3
Step 3

Place the mushroom caps in the baking dish. Lightly grease the sides of the dish with vegetable oil.
- 4
Step 4

Peel and finely chop the onion. Put it in a skillet. Mince the mushroom stems in a blender (you can simply chop them finely). Fry in the skillet with the onion in vegetable oil.
- 5
Step 5

Fry the onion and drumstick mixture, stirring constantly — that way excess moisture will evaporate faster. Season with salt and pepper and add spices.
- 6
Step 6

Grate the cheese. You can use a coarse grater — I prefer it that way — or a fine one.
- 7
Step 7

Mix the grated cheese and the onion-mushroom mixture. You can also add finely chopped herbs at this point.
- 8
Step 8

Fill the mushroom caps with the prepared filling. Bake in an oven preheated to 180–200°C for 15–20 minutes.
