Shaker-puri
Description
Perfect with tea and coffee. Making shaker-puri is very simple. The set of ingredients is the most basic and will surely be found in every home. This recipe is definitely worth your attention! From myself, I want to add that you may need a little more or less flour than indicated in the recipe, and you do not need to knead the dough for long, otherwise the cookies will be hard. Adjust the amount of sugar to taste — it is a matter of preference! As for baking time, determine it based on the capabilities of your oven.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Combine the flour, diced butter, milk, baking soda, sugar, and egg.
- 3
Step 3

Mix everything with a spoon, then knead an elastic dough by hand.
- 4
Step 4

Roll out the dough into a sheet 5–7 mm thick.
- 5
Step 5

Using a special cutter, you need to cut out crescents. I didn’t have such a cutter, so I first made circles and then cut them out.
- 6
Step 6

Transfer the prepared pieces to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.
- 7
Step 7

Let the finished cookies cool, then dust them with powdered sugar.
