
Shakh plov
Description
The recipe won't take much time. You can use traditional lamb or beef for cooking shakh plov, for example. As for dried fruits, you can choose the ones you prefer. This version doesn't include carrots, but you can add them too. This interesting way of serving the dish is perfect for a celebration. Serve hot.

1. First, I'll tell you about the preparation process. Soak the rice for a couple of hours, then rinse it and place it into salted water with turmeric. Boil until half-cooked.

2. Rinse the dried fruits; for extra softness, you can pour hot water over them and let them sit for several minutes. Then drain and dry.

3. Wash the meat, cut it into small pieces, and place it in a frying pan with melted butter. Sear over high heat until a crust forms.

4. Remove the meat from the pan, add more oil, and add the onion. Sauté over medium heat. If you are using carrot for this simple plov recipe, fry it together with the onion.

6. Add the dried fruits, meat, and all the spices you are using to the pan with the onion. Mix everything gently and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Add butter as needed during cooking.

7. While the filling is cooking, you can prepare the lavash. By the way, you can also use thin dough instead. Cut out two circles according to the size of the heat-resistant dish in which you plan to bake the shakh pilaf at home.

8. Grease the bottom and sides of the pan with butter, then place the lavash on the bottom.
