Serbian burek
Description
The recipe won't take much time. The classic Serbian burek recipe calls for filo dough, but I prefer using store-bought dough. Filo dough needs to be made from scratch, stretched by hand, which takes a long time. This version, however, is prepared quite quickly. You can also make a meat filling using ground meat. I hope this simple recipe for Serbian burek will help diversify your menu and that you'll enjoy the result. Good luck! The pastry is ready. Serve at the table.
Instructions

Step 1

Thaw the dough.

Step 2

Grate the cheese and feta on a coarse grater.

Step 3

Blanch the chopped spinach with boiling water and add it to the cheese.

Step 4

Mix the future filling.
- 5
Step 5

Roll out each sheet of dough into a long strip 60 cm long and 10 cm wide.
- 6
Step 6

Place one-fourth of the filling onto the strip, spreading it evenly. Roll it up into a log.
- 7
Step 7

Grease a 30 cm baking pan with vegetable oil and line the bottom with parchment paper. Place the resulting roll along the edges.
- 8
Step 8

Similarly, roll up the remaining three rolls and arrange them in a spiral in the baking dish. Brush the top with vegetable oil.
- 9
Step 9

Bake the burek in a preheated oven at 220 degrees for about 30-35 minutes. Turn off the oven and let the pie finish cooking for another 20 minutes. This is what it looks like when fully cooked.
