Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

Mix the flour with salt and add water. Knead the dough, wrap it in plastic wrap, and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

While the dough is resting, let's prepare the filling. Add finely chopped onion and garlic to the meat, along with salt and pepper. Then add finely chopped herbs and mix well.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

Divide the dough into portions. Roll each portion into a ball.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Roll each piece of dough into a flat disc and brush with vegetable oil.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Now we need to stretch each flatbread as much as possible, until the dough becomes almost transparent. Lightly grease the table with vegetable oil and gently stretch the dough.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

We leave the first layer of dough stretched out. We stretch the second layer the same way as the first, but fold it into a rectangle, place it on top of the first layer, and then add the third portion of the meat filling on top.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater and spread a third of it over the layer of filling.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

We do the same with the third and fourth flatbreads: stretch them, brush with vegetable oil, fold into a rectangle, and place on top of the second flatbread. Then add the filling, cheese, and then the last third flatbread, followed by more filling and cheese. Next, lift the edges of the first flatbread and neatly wrap them over to seal the pie beautifully.

  9. 9

    Step 9

    Step 9

Place the pita on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with vegetable oil mixed with herbs and garlic.

  10. 10

Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
