Meat Sandwiches
Description
I was craving a good steak sandwich with quality meat and lots of cheese. I came up with an interesting version with blue cheese—give it a try; you might like it too. Of course, a steak sandwich recipe is more involved than your average sandwich, but it’s worth it. Serve it as an appetizer at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Slice the onion and melt a couple of tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the onion until golden.
- 2
Step 2

Generously season the steaks with all the spices on both sides only.
- 3
Step 3

Preheat the oven to 200°C. While the oven is heating, cut the baguette as shown in the photo and lightly spread the inside with soft butter.
- 4
Step 4

Place the bread on a baking sheet, buttered side down, so the baguette becomes slightly toasted. Then set the finished baguette aside.
- 5
Step 5

Set the prepared onion aside as well.
- 6
Step 6

Melt a piece of butter on a baking sheet, then place the steaks.
- 7
Step 7

Once the steaks are done on one side, flip them over and cook to your preferred level of doneness.
- 8
Step 8

Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes, then you can slice it.
- 9
Step 9

Arrange the sliced meat and prepared onion on the baguettes.
- 10
Step 10

Sprinkle cheese on top and place in the oven for a couple of minutes until the cheese melts slightly.
