
Cheese Sandwich
Description

Prepare 2 slices of bread; the choice of bread depends entirely on your taste.

Melt one third of the butter in a non-stick skillet. The butter should melt gently, not sizzle or crackle. Place both slices on the skillet. Fry on one side for about 2 minutes until a golden crust forms.

Remove the bread slices from the skillet and transfer them to a cutting board, toasted side up. Place 1–2 slices of cheese on one piece of bread, then close the sandwich with the second piece of bread. The toasted sides should be on the inside of the sandwich.

Melt the second portion of butter in a skillet and reduce the heat to low. Fry the sandwich on one side until deep golden brown, about 5 minutes. Remove the sandwich from the skillet and add the third remaining portion of butter. Then place the sandwich back on the skillet with the toasted side facing up. Season with salt.

When the second side turns golden brown and the cheese has completely melted, remove the sandwich from the pan.
