Sausage Sandwich

Suitable for a holiday and for everyday. A sausage sandwich is very easy to make. And despite the name, something that seems so ordinary turns out very beautiful and appetizing. People have been making sandwiches for a very long time. They have come down to us in their best form—the most delicious. I love making open-faced sandwiches, sandwiches, and hamburgers; for me they are the best snack on a weekday. It is especially handy to send kids to school with a sausage sandwich so they do not go hungry. For my husband to take to work, and I always take one with me too. Give it a try—it is really great.

First, we'll toast the bread. You can do this in a toaster or in the oven.

Spread cream cheese on both slices of bread.

On one slice of bread, first place the tomatoes, sliced into rounds.

Place lettuce leaves on top.

Then the sausage slices — you can cut them in half.

Place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side down. Cut in half and secure with cocktail picks or toothpicks so the sausage sandwich stays together.
