Salmon with spinach
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Juicy salmon on a bed of spinach is ready in just a few minutes. The key is to marinate it in advance with spices and lemon juice, which enhances its delicate flavor. You can add a bit of soy sauce, powdered dried garlic, etc. Choose spices that perfectly complement the fish. Keep in mind that spinach reduces to about two-thirds of its original volume, so buy large bunches of greens. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Remove any scales from the salmon steak, if present. Rinse the salmon steak under water and pat dry thoroughly on all sides with paper towels. Rinse the spinach leaves under water as well, shake off excess moisture, and trim off the stems.
- 2
Step 2

Brush the salmon with lemon juice on both sides. Use a toothpick or a cocktail stick to secure the ends, making the steak round. If you don't secure them, the edges of the steak will "live their own life," curling in different directions during cooking.
- 3
Step 3

Rub the steak on both sides with the seasoning, reserving a little of the seasoning for the spinach. Let the steak marinate for 5-10 minutes so the lemon juice can be absorbed into the meat.

Step 4

Then heat a skillet with vegetable oil on the stove. Cut the spinach leaves into strips and place them in the skillet. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for about 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 5
Step 5

When the volume has reduced, make a depression in the spinach mass and place the salmon steak in it. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- 6
Step 6

After that, cover the container with a lid and simmer the dish for about 4-5 minutes. The salmon will release fat, which will soak into the spinach bed, and the fish itself will steam perfectly under the lid.

Step 7

Place the spinach on a plate first, then put the salmon steak on top. Garnish with cherry tomatoes, sauce, croutons, toasted bread, etc. Enjoy your meal!
