Grilled salmon is a simple and satisfying dish that's easy to prepare and doesn't even require a side dish—I always serve it with fresh herbs and vegetables. It doesn't take long to prepare (just 15 minutes of marinating) and requires no special skills. It's a perfect option for a picnic outdoors. 1. Rinse the salmon and cut it into equal pieces, each weighing 200-220 g

2. Measure and mix 1/3 cup of maple syrup (or liquid honey) and soy sauce.

3. In a suitable container, marinate the salmon pieces in a marinade made from syrup and soy sauce. Place in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes.

4. Heat two tablespoons of soy sauce and 1/4 of maple syrup (honey) in a saucepan, bring to a thick consistency and remove from heat.

5. Take the salmon out of the refrigerator, season each piece with freshly ground pepper.

6. Grease the grill rack with sunflower or olive oil (you can use a paper towel for this) to prevent the fish from sticking. Place the fish pieces on the rack (skin side up) and grill.

7. After three minutes, turn the salmon pieces over and pour the sauce over them.

8. After another two minutes, flip the fish pieces again and pour over the sauce. Bake for a few more minutes.
