Marinated Herring with Lemon and Onion
Description
A delicious appetizer for any gathering. Making marinated herring with lemon and onion is very simple; the most labor-intensive step is filleting the fish, but it’s worth it. Adjust the amount of lemon juice to taste. It’s best to start by adding about 4 tbsp., then taste and add more as needed. The fish turns out incredibly tender, fragrant, and delicious. It goes well with simply boiled potatoes, and also makes a great appetizer at a feast alongside main courses. Give it a try! You can serve it warm or chilled.
