Herring in Tomato Marinade
Description
This appetizer comes together quickly and easily. After this recipe, you won’t want any other pickled fish except herring in tomato marinade. The fish turns out incredibly delicious thanks to the marinade of vegetable oil and tomato juice, which makes it fragrant and tender, while the pepper adds heat and flavor. Be sure to let the fish sit in this marinade for 24 hours so it has time to absorb all the aromas from the other ingredients. If you like, add herbs and spices for a richer aroma.
