
Rich buns according to GOST
Description
Working with yeast dough isn’t that difficult, you only need to try it once to love it. In sweet buns you can additionally add raisins or other dried fruits. I’ll tell you in detail, serve it cooled or slightly warm.

Prepare all the necessary ingredients.

Prepare the starter. Mix the milk with water, add crumbled yeast, and stir. Add the flour and knead the starter with a spoon or by hand. Cover with plastic wrap and place in a warm spot for 1.5–2 hours to rise.

When the starter rises, begin preparing the dough. Dissolve the yeast in slightly warm water. Add salt, sugar, and vanilla. Stir.

Add the starter.

Knead the mixture with your hands and beat in the eggs.

Then gradually add the flour and knead the dough.

Add melted margarine toward the end of the mixing.

Knead the dough and roll it into a ball. Cover with plastic wrap and place in a warm spot to rise for 1.5–2 hours.

When the dough rises, pinch off portions and shape them into buns.

At 80 g each, you’ll get 16‑17 pieces. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover with a towel or plastic wrap, and let them rest for 25‑30 minutes in a warm place to rise.

When the buns rise, brush them with a mixture of egg yolk and milk using a pastry brush. Bake for 25–30 minutes at 180–190 °C.
