
Cherry-filled sweet braid
Description
Homemade pastry for tea. You can make a wonderful baked treat with cherries. This braided cherry pie is very easy to make. You'll need yeast dough, either homemade or store-bought. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, place pitted cherries in the center, make cuts along the edges of the dough, and braid the strips over the filling. Bake in the oven. The result is a fragrant, fluffy, delicious pastry—perfect served with tea or coffee.

Pour warm milk into a bowl and add the yeast and one tablespoon of sugar. Mix and let stand for 10 minutes, until the yeast activates and becomes foamy.

Add salt, mayonnaise, another 4-5 tablespoons of sugar, and mayonnaise.

Mix the milk, yeast, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, and mayonnaise well.

Gradually add the sifted flour and knead a soft, elastic dough.

Place the dough in a warm spot. After 60-80 minutes, it will have doubled in volume and will be ready to use.

Divide the dough into two parts. The specified amount of ingredients will yield two braided pastries. Roll out each part of the dough into a rectangle. Wash the cherries and remove the pits. Place them on the dough.
