Carp baked in the oven with lemon
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. No one will refuse a piece of baked fish with lemon, especially if it has a golden, appetizing crust. The carp is especially delicious when served hot, accompanied by various sauces, pickles, or other side dishes. The ready dish can now be served at the table.
Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Clean the carp from scales, gut it, and rinse thoroughly inside and outside. If the fish is large, use only one half. My half weighs 1.5 kg, as the carp was about 4.5-5 kg.

Step 2

Place a portion of the fish onto a baking sheet or foil greased with vegetable oil. Keep in mind that the fish skin will stick to the baking sheet during baking, so it's better to line it with foil or parchment paper. Squeeze some juice from a lemon, spread it over the fish surface, then salt and pepper it, and rub the spices into the fish. Spread mayonnaise of any fat content over the fish, coating the surface of the carp completely.

Step 3

Slice the remaining half of the lemon, from which you squeezed the juice, into thin slices. Place them on top of the fish. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake the tray for 30-40 minutes.

Step 4

Baking time directly depends on your oven. Once the fish is nicely browned, insert a knife into the flesh. If it comes out easily, the carp is fully cooked. Turn off the heat and remove the dish from the oven.

Step 5

Garnish the baked fish with fresh herbs; if desired, cut into pieces and serve hot.
